Launched in 2021, and part of our ongoing efforts to promote productive gatherings and networks (like the Accomplices program), Retreats is a series of gatherings with groups of artists, writers, and other cultural organizers and practitioners, to come together to reflect and work on their shared concerns.
The retreats result in art works, or specific protocols, or new writing, that tackle urgent questions and will continue throughout the coming years. The issues raised at the retreats with peers and specialists are those that must be addressed to ensure that artists, particularly women and other marginalized groups, can create and express themselves in thriving and safe environments in a sustainable manner.
